Create a captivating ad to promote our very first iPhone and Android App for the company!

We are a training and consulting company for the electronics industry. Basically we provide solder training and IPC (our licensing body) certification to folks that design and assembly electronic components on to printed circuit boards. I am looking to have designed ads for our new app for the iPhone and Android smart phones.

We have created an app to allow people to find certification classes near them at times that are convenient. The app allows folks to search for a variety of programs we offer in 30+ locations across the United States and Canada. I have attached the preliminary design for the micro-site for the app to give you a brief idea about the offering.

I am trying to give you some guidance on this ad. We have a couple slogans we have tossed around like "Let's Get Certified" and "because it's all about the soldering..." and I am not sure which one I prefer, but the certified one seems to be getting the most attention in the other designs.

I think the ad should have the app icon button in it, the slogan above, the IPC logo and something like "Your search is over, and just begun.", or "Find a class near you...", or "IPC Certification, now just a touch away." I know there is a limited amount of space, so the fundamental design has to carry through to the smallest size, which might just be the app icon. As you have space, you can then increase the content and therefore the message.

You might have to include the IPC Training Center logo as well, but I am not sure. Guess it is dependent on the design and space. Obviously you have to include ours. I have attached our logo and the IPC logo as well. I am not sure how to use these in the design, or whether the logo in the app itself is explanation enough if you know what I mean.

I am including the app icon that will be submitted to Apple and Google. It is 1024x1024, but it should be 48x48, which is what the size in on the phones. I would like it to have a kind of drop shadow off of icon in the ad to make it stand out from a white background, otherwise it will look flat against the white.

You will have to provide all the sizes in the ads. They are:

So we are trying to create an interest in the app itself with these ads. Make it cool and appealing to click on. Entice them enough to wonder and click. You all know the drill. Hey, it's marketing....

Hope this gives you some background and help with the market and technology. I know this is not a glamorous topic. Pretty dull and boring, but we have become the leading provider in the world for this, so someone is paying attention. We just want to build the brand and spread the word and we need your help.
