Jeanette Chasworth (a.k.a. "The Color Whisperer") is an interior designer, author and speaker who transforms people's lives by designing homes they love to live in. Specifically, by focusing on the psychological effects of color in interior design. What's your vision?
We want to redesign the cover of an existing book and relaunch it as part of a new media campaign. The existing cover (attached) does not really grab the reader or communicate color creatively. It has no "wow" factor. The author's recently designed website http://www.thecolorwhisperer.com is closer to the look and feel we want for the book cover - perhaps a light background with splashes of color instead of cull coverage - but the cover should not be an exact duplicate of the website. Designers should feel free to be as colorful, creative, and unique as they wish, with the only restrain being it's about "color" not "paint" so no icons or paintbrushes. Also, no rainbows or primary colors that are overused and cliche.
Dimensions must be EXACT to replace existing cover without modifying digital file of book interior. Finished cover size is 8.25" x 6" (as pictured) with a 0.5" spine. So, finished design will measure 16.5" X 6" X 0.5" at 300dpi. Front cover text: What's Color Got to Do With It?
