To get into college in the United States, most high school students have to take one of two standardized tests: the SAT or the ACT. This book has strategies and concepts to help students prepare for the ACT, which tests English, Math, Reading, and Science. While, historically, the SAT was the more "prestigious" test, several factors, including its convoluted problems and guessing penalty, have recently made the ACT a more popular test, with 2012 being the first year in which the more students took the ACT than the SAT. When I was a high school student, I hated the ACT. I wasn't good at it, and it gave me a lot of stress. After graduating college, I became a tutor, and learned the secrets to dominating this test. I'm now convinced, that ANYONE can significantly improve their score if they just follow the principles outlined in this book.
What's your vision?
Title: "I Used to Hate the ACT, too: How to Conquer the #1 College Admissions Test." The most important part of the title is the word 'ACT' so definitely make that stand out. The subtitle "How to Conquer the #1 College Admissions Test" should be underneath and maybe in small caps? Author: Andre Kiss - Founder and Master Tutor of TestPrepLive.com I have a good idea of what I would like in the image I've uploaded. Please try to stay as close to the idea as possible! It's a test to get into College, so some images I have in my head are college gates at a prestigious university, pencils, a calculator. I want this to look professional but not be cliche. I want my book to stand out from the masses of other prep books out there. A simple, professional, clean, and inspiring design is what I'm looking for. Lastly, keep in mind the target audience: High School Sophomores and Juniors and their Parents! I would like a spine and a back as well that meshes well with the front as a whole.
