My Journey of Courage, Growth and Acceptance
This is about my journey of courage, growth and acceptance, when my first husband, after 11 years of marriage and 3 kids, dropped a bombshell and told me he wanted to become a woman. This is my story of our relationship from the beginning when he first told me he occasionally cross dressed, the bombshell and then the road of growth and acceptance where we redefined our marriage and continued to live together as me, my kids and an aunt -for 7 more years, very happy. I talk about what my values and beliefs were and also how others reacted. At the end of each chapter, I have 'Reflections' - what I learned through the process, how I grew, what others can learn. This book applies to anyone wanting to take control of their life, overcome adversity or challenges and to understand what is important. I want people to 'feel' inspired by looking at the cover, to 'feel' a reason to delve deeper. I mention that the bombshell felt like a mountain that crashed down and cast a shadow over my life - but the mountain doesn't have to be the cover. I also mention that I felt like I was always climbing stairs - walking up hill with new obstacles to over come and just when I got to the landing, thinking nothing else would loom up in front of me, another flight of stairs would be there to climb. Whether you go with 'reflections' and make it inspirational about 'the face of change' (change in my life, change of my husband, change in our marriage) or stairs or mountain - I want to 'feel' the cover.
