What's your vision?
This is my first book and I look forward to seeing the creativity of the designers. The title is: Perfect Fit The subtitle is: Finding Your Mate and Job Match Using Proven HR Skills. Tens of thousands of professional singles are trying to find the perfect partner and are not able to. Many are spending $20 or more a month on line trying to figure it out. They are frustrated, need help and are willing to spend $20 on a great book to get that help. In this book, I have tapped my 25+ years of experience in the field of Human Resources and used this knowledge to describe and distinguish between two parallel life searches: the job seeker’s process of finding a good job fit and the process of finding an ideal mate/life partner. The book considers the numerous comparisons and contrasts between these two types of life searches. The chapters are Branding yourself . . . Who are you? Where to find singles . . . Job advertising and boards Online profile . . . Your resume Initial communication . . . Cover letter and phone screen Initial dates . . . Interviewing How are we doing? . . . Probation/performance appraisal It just was not a match . . . Exiting on good terms Happily ever after . . . Retention The target audience is professional singles (women and men) who are familiar with the term HR so they likely have worked in business sometime during their career. I like simplicity on the cover yet it still needs to stand out with clear visuals. Check out Gail Sheehy - Sex and the Seasoned Woman as one example of simple yet powerful and stands out. I've heard the rule of thumb is 2/3 visual and 1/3 words. The word Fit seems to really resonate for people at both work and in dating so maybe something with puzzle pieces but not tied to that concept. I would like to use the visual as my logo and on the header of the website. The soft copy book is 126 pages, 9" x 6" x .29" . The cover and back are color. The attached has the wording for the front and back covers. The back needs a place for the ISBN number. Enjoy, Russel
