Dr. Chevelta A. Smith
Dr. Chevelta A. Smith is a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist, motivator, and mentor. Additionally, she is a marriage coach, educator, published medical author, and former pastor. Dr. Smith is a dynamic and powerful speaker--both medically and spiritually. She has been gifted with a phenomenal ability to parallel the medical and spiritual, in a way that is tremendously life applicable and one of a kind.
Can I Push? is a medical-spiritual parallel between the process needed to birth new life (a baby) and the process needed to birth the greatness that lies within each of us. Many people are frustrated and depressed within their lives because they have no idea regarding when it is the right time for them to push out the greatness that God has placed inside of them. This book offers a truly unique perspective about delivering (birthing) your purpose. From conception to delivery, Dr. Smith shares, in this book, the many medical spiritual parallels with respect to acknowledging, confirming, nurturing, and delivering the greatness, dreams, and purpose that lies within each of us. This book focuses on understanding that timing is important. Many people are frustrated because they know they have greatness in them but feel like they are watching everyone else around them rise to the top. This book focuses on the fact that we all have greatness in us, however, like natural birth--normal pregnancy has specific stages (trimesters) that should be completed before the expected date of delivery occurs. This book aims to teach the reader that sometimes individuals are frustrated because they are trying to push out (birth) the greatness inside of them when it is simply not the time. It may be too early (premature).
The book is for anyone although the target audience is likely christian women, mothers, and ministry leaders. Age 25 and up. For diverse group.
