our business is two parts of under the one name, one is an architectural design company and the other is a construction company Focusing mainly on custom & boutique residential projects, while also doing various commercial projects . (the reason being having the two seperate "subtitles" to the logo is to be able to attract builders and developers to the Design side of the company without limiting any work due to builders not being happy the company also builds itself, and same with the construction side, to allow architect feel comfortable referring work to the building side knowing they can receive potential referral work back from the builder.
With future plans for extensions of other business in the construction industry from this company the aim for the brand is to be able to make it versatile to use the main name "VILLA DOE" while being able have "building design" added to it to target the design market and then another for "construct" for purely construction side of the company. The brand and branding is to be able to future proof that VILLA DOE will become a strong name/brand in its self. And would be stand alone known for VILLA DOE. Its target audience is for the mid-upper range developers, home owners, commercial project manangement groups. And to also catch the attention with its branding when the signage is on a house under construction.
KEY WORDS FOR BRAND IDENTITY -
the business is ELEGANT/LUXURIOS - BOLD/STRONG and UNIQUE/INDIVUAL - MODERN/TIMELESS. Making it stand out from the rest, show that the business is not a budget business, but while also still being approachable by potential future clients.
I believe the branding is powerful for a business. Want the design to show the design has had love/passion, detail, thought put into it. As this will be what we want clients to know/feel from the /brand that this is what we do for them on their projects.
don't limit yourself to just focusing on using V&D as a logo if its going to be very stereotypical, think outside the square! be different.... this branding doesn't need to even have logo if the company Name and Font/Style/Design is done well/unique/smart enough that it becomes its own title logo itself.
In the construction industry too many brand designs are very cliche and steroptyopical. This needs to be avoided and don't want any logos that look like cheap std internet logo template designs from budget websites.
