ExFatChick.com
I'm a 27-year old former obese gal turned personal trainer and local fitness expert. I own and run my own non-military style boot camp program in Orlando, Florida.... group personal training in a nutshell. I am also the fitness expert for the local news and have my own segment every Saturday.
You can check it out at http://www.NotYourAverageBootCamp.com
I am now trying to branch out into the information product world and am starting a lifestyle, health, fitness, nutrition, etc blog for women (not just in Orlando anymore)... and ExFatChick is the persona behind the blog.
Women into health, wellness, style, fashion, losing weight, getting fit, women that have struggled with their weight and would relate with a former chubby girl =)
20-55 years old
Women that appreciate an edge-- or the unconventional
Women that are searching for health tips, recipes, fashion, style, getting fit, diets, finding a sense of belonging to a community, entertainment, humor.....
I am looking for a clean, easy-to-read, and eye-popping wordpress blog theme that appeals to women.... but with a bit of an edge... nonconventional
I love the look and feel of these two blogs...
http://thenategreenexperience.com/ ( I really, really love the look and feel of this one)
http://www.fitnessgurusam.com/
1. General look and feel
It should be bright, colorful, and somewhat girlie. I have attached an image of a charicature of me (ignore the logo in the image-- that is the logo of my local fitness business-- this project is totally separate)
Also check out http://www.hungry-girl.com to see how the site is a persona rather than an actual person....
Random blurbs about the look and feel:
I like rounded text boxes vs. squared ones.
Basically, if I had a blog that had the look and feel of thenategreenexperience.com/blog but that went with the theme of "the life of an ex fat chick"-- I would be really happy.
No flash
2. Menu and navigation
Customizable navigation bar and some sort of nice looking footer
An opt-in on the top right (just like in nate green blog) for some sort of free report that requires email address and name
Blog entries on left, and all the other stuff in a narrow column on left (like facebook feed, recent entry links, etc)
If some of these details are a little bit ambiguous and you have any questions at all, please feel free to email me or message me and I would be happy to elaborate =)
