National Federation of Music Clubs
I am organizing a redesign of this Web site. The goal is to make the site more interesting to young musicians so that they will apply for the scholarships offered. The culture of the organization is fairly conservative. But at the same time we need to talk to our audience in a compelling way. It could be challenging to be both hip and professional. But I love what you all do here and believe you are up for the task.
You can see the existing site here:
There are multiple audiences for this site. They include:
* Performing musicians (both amateur and professional).
* Music Educators
* Music Enthusiasts
* Young musicians looking for music scholarships.
* The parents of these young musicians.
I think there is going to be a fine line between being cool enough for the kids and being sophisticated enough for donors and educators.
I totally believe you are up for the challenge!
It is likely that they are going to want these as primary pages of the site:
Competitions & Awards
It's possible that some of them could be sub-pages. So, a design that allowed for scalable Wordpress pages would probably be ideal.
The home page would likely be a static post or page that is able to be updated by them.
I don't think it needs to be overly flashy. I think it just needs to be clean, cool, sophisticated and scalable.
