Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Brain Parade is the creator of an iPad app called See.Touch.Learn.® It is an award winning app that is used by education professionals working with special needs students. It replaces the boxes of picture cards that these teachers had previously used with their students. Special education teachers and speech professionals use the app to teach children with Autism, and other special learning needs.
The app has received numerous awards and was featured by Apple in its retails stores.
The app has been downloaded over 500,000 times. There are three versions of the app:
See.Touch.Learn.® Site Edition
all three use the same icon, but the Pro and SITE versions have "PRO" or "SITE" overlaid.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We launched the app in 2011 and redesigned the icon in early 2014. Since the redesign, sales have slowed and I am concerned that the new icon does not make visitors to the Apple App store want to click and download the app. I am looking for a new icon that catches the eye and conveys the following points:
1. This is a picture card / flash card app
2. It is a tool for professional educators
3. It is a high-quality product
When users search the app store (for example "Autism") they see a lot of results. I want the See.Touch.Learn. icon to stand out and to make them want to click and download it. I attached a screen shot from the app store so you can see what we compete against. You can see the See.Touch.Learn. icon at the lower right.
I have attached the current icons and the prior version. The silver background icon is the older version.
