marshall 0 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Breaking Bad meets Mad Men
Check out marshall 0's Logo design contest…
Periodic Tableware captures the reaction between laboratory glass and modern barware. It's Breaking Bad meets Mad Men. Its a collection of drinking glasses and serving pieces inspired by and made from genuine laboratory glass and hardware. Currently drinking glasses and serving ware. Soon to be also coffee and tea. Its hard to explain. Come see at ptware.com
Other color requirements
The logo will be used in one color printing so only black and white.
This logo will be used for packaging which is printed on with ink plates or screen printing, so keep that in mind. (one color: black, and not too intricate). Big dot halftones could possibly work I suppose but it's not encouraged. I will need the final version in vector graphics (pdf or ai). I've attached the original logo. Sometimes it is only the PT without the words. I've come to hate it. It was supposed to look like an element on the Periodic Table and that was going to speak for itself. Instead I'm always hearing, "What's Pt?" Unless you think you have a really good take on it, try and stay away from the letters, "Pt". Use the entire "Periodic Tableware" or create some iconography that has nothing to do with the name, but everything with the idea of the actual product. Think creatively about science, cocktails, mixology, and where they all meet. I've also attached a sample layout of one of the boxes as it is now. I'm contemplating running another contest for packaging if this logo one goes well. 4/10/16 Amendment: Thank you for the submissions thus far. There have been some nice clean ones I like and also some creative fun ones that I think work. In this last stretch I'd like so see if they could be combined in some way. What I'm thinking is a deeper take on the product line. Yes, the idea is drinkware + Cocktails meets Chemistry, and I like the icons that have capitilized on that. But can it be done without showing actual items like flasks and lemons? Something that both shows the concept, but with abstract logo that stands on it's own.

A total pleasure from start to finish. She had the most creative ideas of the entries and expressed them with a clean elegance. She brought her own excitement to the contest. She was also happy to make any changes and to try my not better ideas. A++
