It was gr8 working with Toez, I was impressed with his designs and got onto a one on one project with him. He patiently worked with me on the revisions and I was able to get what I was looking from his end on the logo to be delivered.
How SpareChanged started their logo design journey
Spare Changed is a unique charity that needs a great logo to give us a professional brand before approaching potential partners and donors. What makes us unique you ask? Spare Changed will be the first social network for the homeless. We are partnering with homeless shelters to create profiles for people who need a little help to stand up on their own.
Some food for thought:
As many as 3.5 million people experience homelessness in a given year (1% of the entire U.S. population or 10% of its poor), and about 842,000 people in any given week. Most homeless people have no means of communications with the outside world. Few have access to a phone to make or receive calls, get voice messages, send or receive email. Many support organizations provide some limited local phone access, voice mail, and internet computers with email is is critical in the modern world for medical appointment verification, job and services searches. Spare Changed will be providing internet access and host local job opportunities, individual stories, donation pages, and will help connect the homeless with those who can help.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is potential partners and donors.
We want your unique, creative take on our project. Must include our name, "Spare Changed". We want to have a funky vibe, and we like the "web 2.0" style. Please do not include any sort of homeless caricature, or use a $ for the S in Spare Changed. For colors we like oranges, yellows, greens, grays, and blues. (Don't want all of these colors in the design, but one or a combination of 2/3 would be great) Think COLORFUL, FUNKY, and ICONIC! :)
Other than these requirements we want you to be as creative as you can. The winning design will be featured on our web site, business cards, letterhead, and t-shirts. We will be conducting PR opportunities so there will be a good amount of exposure. Help us help others!
