Brazilitnel provides research and analysis about Brazil and its place in the world post financial crisis to the english speaking world. We are a small agency producing quality material to help introduce people to Brazil. Themes include society, economics and the environment. Material produced includes video, interactive graphics, audio etc alongside more traditional written work.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The audeince is largely business professionals working across investment, corporate and government spheres.
But the people who use us are those that 'get it'. I.e. the world has changed and a country like Brazil is a new centre of focus for the world. These are the types of people who spend time reading the Financial Times, Economist, Reuters, Bloomberg.
Clean, minimal - this is the new Brazil, (no picture of rio/brazil flag needed).
(see bottom for summary)
The theme I am using for this site is logical wp in green http://themeforest.net/item/logical…tion/94110
The font is titillium: http://imjustcreative.com/titillium…009/04/28/
I have toyed with Brazil in green then the second half of the word (intel) in black using titillium.
good but it needs some graphic in their somewhere.
ideas: dots as Reuters have it to explain communication and the notion of network http://www.reuters.com/
I also really like the idea of a dotted map of Brazil or an outline of the country to provide the reader with some visual understanding.
for this reason a type of dotted map/outline seems to fit with the font which is quite straightline.
(If you put dotted world map into google you will get the map)
But this may be obvious/cheesy.
Another idea for the map which is good is used by Oi:
they use a type of teardrop/blob which I like. http://www.oi.com.br
A representation of the map as above is really cool, not obvious etc
1. minimal, clean, no Brazil flag, but can use green and font included.
2. stress on communication and network
3. and a way of representing brazil e.g. map outline, blob/shape of map
Go for it, dont feel the above is set in stone - hope you enjoy the challenge
