ysalz got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Climate Change Collaborative with Great Name Needs Striking, Professional Logo
Check out ysalz's Logo design contest…
BayCAN is a collaborative (a network, sort of like a coalition) developed by and for local government entities in the San Francisco Bay Area (cities, counties, water districts, etc) that are preparing to adapt to the effects of climate change/global warming. So the world is getting warmer and this will have an effect on coastlines, water supply, public health, ecosystems, and communities -- our members are bringing these challenges to this collaboration to share information with one another and invent (since this is a new thing) best practices for addressing these challenges.
This is a regional network/collaborative, with San Francisco Bay at it's center. We are just working on climate change adaptation. We are deeply connected to our communities, as local government entites. We're in a very young industry, but all our members are highly professional actors (engineers, planners, elected officials). One challenge: how do you say "climate" in a logo? This isn't required, but it would be nice.

Walltrict gave us a great design and was a pleasure to work with in the process. Meticulous edits, incredibly quick responses, and comprehensive file provision. Thank you!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
