JK-RUFF is the creation of two like-minded musicians. Jordan Koster, and Kristian Laemmle-Ruff. The Project JK-RUFF has been a two-year recording project with acclaimed Producer Peter Dacy. (Taxi Ride, The Androids). Upon the completion of JK-RUFF’s first album ‘Ocean Arms’ The team intend to shop the record as a band to the major labels in Australia, with the intention of trying to create interest and potentially secure distribution, publishing and marketing deals.
Please listen to the music.

The name of the Album is ‘Ocean Arms’
It is an epic 12 track journey. Many crescendo’s.
Using mandolin, 12-string guitar, electric guitar, sitar,
organs, and many harmonies. “Sounds like its from the 70’s”
It is Important that the logo reflects the music.
The theme of the music is generally about love.
The ocean, the tide, the sun, and time.
We think the logo should feel fluid yet have a commercial strong edge.
We want to be portrayed as a folk/psychedelic rock band with strong ties to the ocean.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The response from the music so far has been extremely positive from all age groups.
Our target audience is 15 to 50. The Album has a mature and sellable sound. Catchy for the kids, and plenty of depth for the listeners. The oldies like it because it reminds them of the 70’s (harmonies, guitar parts, open hearted, real instruments, no samples.) Ages 15-30 like it because of the authenticity confidence and strength in vocals. There is a real transparency in the music, an honesty that people warm too.
We want our logo to reflect both a 70’s and now feel, because that is our music.
Our aim is to be sellable, in a commercial sense. We like a strong text like LED ZEPPELIN, its bold. THE ALLMAN BROTHERS cursive, yet strong with height.
The logo will encompass the word ‘JK-RUFF’ which is our corporate identity.
We would like a fluid yet strong logo. The ocean, the tide, the sun,and the earth are all ingrained words and themes throughout the album.
A balanced symmetrical feel with shape would be fantastic. Although not essential.
A logo that encompasses a hippy crossed with a rock god vibe.
natural flow with a boldness. We want our logo to feel old and young. 70's and now. fluid and bold.
