A key requirement is the logo needs to be unique. There are way too many logos that are basically two arrows that someone sketched up (one arrow points up and one down - just Google the term elevator logo and you'll see: http://images.google.com/images?q=e…tor%20logo ). While that idea DOES convey elevators, it is highly overused. If your design uses this element, please be sure it is done in a unique and interesting way!
Also worth considering is the fact that there are a HUGE variety of interesting elevators out there, plus we inspect escalators, dumbwaiters, wheelchair lifts, etc.
Also, the logo will be used for print (forms, brochures, etc), website logo, AND (very important) embroidered on shirts, hats, and jackets.
