Depends on the design, open to suggestions. "Motivated by challenge. Satisfied by excellence."

I operate a environmental consulting company. Our core business is to provide consulting services to clients to restore (reclaim) disturbed land to its original conditions. The target audience is professionals (clients) and contractors (operators). My main service industry is oil and gas however, we offer services to transportation, municipal development and all other types of industries that require professional advice regarding the environment and regulations.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?

I do not want to bias any bodies creative mind so I will keep this brief. Ultimately, I would like a logo that I am proud of, would wear on my hat and put on the side of my truck. The logo will carry out to all of my professional reports, cost estimates, etc. Even though I operate as an environmental company, the logo does not need to be "green" or have a "tree or leaf". I am not against these designs however, I seem to feel it may be too cliche' and a lot of environmental companies do it. I have tried to make my own logo and used it for about 6 months, but it is time to update it (and I am having a hard time doing so and do not have the expertise). I have made about 15 different flat designs and am happy with about 2 of them but through a round table discussion it was decided we should outsource this work. I am finding everyone has different tastes and preferences. Anyways, have fun, good luck and feel free to contact me should you require any additional information.
PS - the attached sketches are my first approximations and do not need to represent the final product in any way - as mentioned, I am not the creative type. I hope these do not bias your designs (feel free to disregard if you would like). the current logo I am using is the black C with the tree and maple leaf - ready to be retired).
