Consulting firm startup needs brilliant designer

I recently left a consulting partnership to open my own office. I also own a music festival and a sports performance program for scholastic athletes.
All will need rebranding this year.
My intention is to start by creating a more professional & successful presence for the consulting business than my competition and I'm not able to do it myself.

Energy conscious home owners in Vermont.

I am looking for a logo w/ icon for my energy consulting firm.

I have existing logo files that I did myself. I'm not a graphic designer so I'm looking for a big upgrade. Here are some guidelines:

1. I want to keep the compass theme for the icon and I would like to keep the blue/green color combo. I would like the icon to be much more interesting than the one I did but at least recognizable as being the same company.
2. The typeface should reflect the professionalism of a consulting or architecture firm.

The files we will require are:
Print file format - .eps or other vector format
Web file format - .jpg/gif and layered .psd (RGB)

Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
