Lauren Holliday got their new logo design by running a design contest:
We need a cool logo for an app that lets women verify guys before a date

Here's the sales page copy for the app >> https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FyevnMoA6M4ClfvYPXc_jF2AhAX8w5Rq62cw__EK_ks/edit?usp=sharing And here's a press release I made for the app -- please read >> https://www.notion.so/apurpleunicorn/Press-Release-Exercise-b6eb2a961ab54bf8bc89f7d962c4871d GuyChecker -- because you can't always trust guys to be so honest. 42% of Tinder users are NOT single. 1/10 dating app users are registered sex offenders. 11% of dating app users are married. Don't believe this is a problem, read this ProPublica investigation >> https://www.propublica.org/article/tinder-lets-known-sex-offenders-use-the-app-its-not-the-only-one Women — single and taken — use GuyChecker to get a 360-degree view of the guys in their lives. Think of us as your f*ckboy repellant — an essential in any smart woman's dating and relationship toolkit. We give women the vital information they need to not only uncover the f*ckboys in their lives but also how to deal with them and get you through the aftermath. The GuyChecker app allows you to input a piece of information on a guy — such as phone number, full name, age range and/or location — and then we scour our data to collect all the information we can find on the guy that's available. Once the search is done, you pick the "right" guy from a list of potential matches. Tell us what info you want, or choose to download the comprehensive report, pay, and boom, get everything we found on the guy. You only pay if there's information on the guy. "With the rise of online dating, we're meeting (and getting serious with) more and more guys outside of our inner social circles, which means we don't have any information besides the information they give us. Unfortunately, you can't always trust bad guys to be totally, if at all, honest. Today, it's #smartnotpsycho to research the guy in your life to keep yourself safe and happy." -- App user
LOVE the color vibe of OkCupid and the font, but I obviously don't want a copycat logo. Tinder is cool I guess too. LOVE the look and feel of OkCupid's about page too >> https://www.okcupid.com/about The last upload is the current logo. But as you can see it copies OkCupid too much. Look forward to your ideas! =)
