OELO is a community led grassroots environmental organization based in Gabon that does ecotourism development, environmental education, community outreach and biodiversity research. We are launching a campaign to spread awareness about a critically endangered species of crocodile that is still widely found for sale in local markets despite being protected by national law. We want to change consumer preferences for bushmeat and inspire the next generation to protect this species: the slender-snouted crocodile. In French its common name is faux gavial, which is why we are calling the campaign "Projet Faux Gavial"

We envision "Projet Faux Gavial" hand written next to or around a crocodile character. The crocodile is known for its characteristic slender snout.This logo will be used in presentations, a mural, and T-shirts. The audience will be students but also the greater community and tourists to our ecotourism site. We want to rally pride for this animal and spread awareness that it is a critically endangered species protected by national law. We want a design that will be appealing to kids and adults. We also want the crocodile design to be identifiable as a slender-snouted crocodile (long narrow snout) and not confused with the other two species that are found here.
