Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Legalpedia is a wikipedia style website. It is designed to provide free, accessible, legal information across a diverse range of topics. This includes information about how to access the legal system and discrete areas of law (such as administrative, consumer law, family law etc) with a particular focus upon issues confronting people in the community legal sector. A barebones version of the current website is available at http://www.legalpediaqld.org.au. The current format will be modified as the website changes and develops.
The website has been developed by Queensland Public Interest Law Clearing House (QPILCH). QPILCH is a not-for-profit, community-based legal organisation that coordinates the provision of pro bono legal services for individuals and community groups. QPILCH's website can be found at http://qpilch.org.au/ The website is not designed to be solely a QPILCH or Queensland product. We are hoping to expand to all jurisdictions in Australia and create an encyclopaedia of community legal sector information.
