Upper Cut Woodworks, LLC
I am a long time Microsoft employee that is taking my woodworking hobby to the next level.
My wife and I are building small family owned business to design and build classic high-quality pieces for families that will last.
I work out of the woodshop in my garage, building entertainment centers, doll beds, custom wall pieces (bathroom mirrors, coat racks, frames, memory boards), custom tables, cabinets, baby items, pet gates, etc.
It is increasingly difficult to find quality furniture made with real wood that is harvested responsibly, and finished with a non-toxic finish. Working this way gives me immense satisfaction.
Our pieces are custom, safe, American made with American materials. Much of the work is done by hand. We use only forest stewarship council certified solid woods, and safe finishes.
Also, we are more like an "orange county choppers" family business and less like the "duggar family" :)
Please check http://www.uppercutwoodworks.com/ to see the beginning of the website with links to projects and more information about me.
Families that need solutions for their home, are inspired by pieces they see in catalogs or at retail, but need a custom solution.
When customers are inspired by something in a catalog (like Restoration Hardware, Crate & Barrel, or Pottery Barn), and want a piece custom made for their family, Upper Cut Woodworks will design and build their dream!
The logo for Upper Cut Woodworks should be clean, clear, and modern, and incorporate the materials and tools we use. It should work on a website, stationery, business cards, and signage.
It should state the company name "Upper Cut Woodworks" and the final version will need to incorporate the website address "uppercutwoodworks.com" and phone number when I have it finalized.
The logo should be delivered in vector format and PNG format, at resolution suitable for print (including large sizes for signs), email, and web. The logo should also translate well to greyscale and black and white.
I like the look of the lumberjocks logo at http://www.lumberjocks.com
