I am starting a blog called the Higher Ed Professor. My slogan is Demystifying Higher Education. I will explain how colleges and universities work and provide productivity tips for professors, staff, and others interested in higher education. One of my goals is to help people who work within universities be more successful and improve their leadership. I am a professor in a graduate program that teaches higher education and My target audience is well educated and primarily between the ages of 25-45.

One of the graphic ideas that I thought about was playing off the idea of a businessman running with a briefcase but instead have a professor in a cap and gown running. I also thought about a professor carrying a stack of books. There may be a way to play with the demystify concept with this idea. While these ideas may work well, I would really like to see design elements that are even better. I'm looking for a more creative way to convey that I'm helping people understand how colleges work and to be more successful leaders within their institutions. I'm interested in seeing more cartoon characters that get at some of these ideas.
Higher and Ed should not be separated from each other. The dimensions for the space on my site that I'm looking to put this logo are 635 pixels width and 87 pixels height.
