rpugh got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a new Logo and Identity for an independent Record Shop going online now.
Check out rpugh's Logo design contest…
possibly "Independent Record Shop" or "Independent Record Store" but not too fussed.
The company is a record shop but the new logo revamp is for both the shop (to be used on the shop facia, business cards, leaflets, carrier bags) and online for the website, social media sites etc.
Logo types to explore
The logo is for an Independent Record Shop in the UK. We've sold used records for 12 months and are about to start selling new vinyl records, cds and going online with a complex website. We are also revamping the shop interior with a modern feel. We need a logo that will appeal to vinyl record lovers & collectors ranging from young people (teenagers) who have recently discovered vinyl to lifelong music fans. The logo needs to be both a mark and a logotype. It needs to be "cool" as we're in the music business and selling records. But it also needs to be warm, friendly and professional. We'll be using it on carrier bags for records so we need to be able to use either the mark or a combination of mark and logo on a square background. But we also need to be able to use it on the website and shop facia in an extended landscape style. We have also bought the domain name RecordsUK.co.uk which we will be using as our main domain name. We therefore need to reconcile the brand name of "The Vinyl Frontier" with our online name of RecordsUK.
