Jvanhove got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create the logo for the International campaign to end the immigration detention of children

Community & Non-Profit
The International Detention Coalition (IDC) advocates for greater respect for the human rights of detainees. This new international campaign will focus on children in detention worldwide. (Please use IDC as a temporary business name if you want to use letters, note that ideally the logo does not use written language).
Logo types to explore
We do not want cliche images like balloons coming from behind bars, but we do want a clear reference to children and teenagers. We were thinking of using the look and feel of kid's drawings as an inspiration for the design, since it contrast with the reality of them being detained. IDC's international campaign to end the immigration detention of refugee, asylum seekers and migrant children will be launched at the UN but also at regional forums and at national events, supported by large networks as well as small human rights organisations and individuals. The logo has to work in various parts of the world, emphasising the bottom line "Children don't belong in detention" but also show some hope, since there are alternatives and some countries do not detain children anymore for migration management purposes. More on www.idcoaltion.org/children This campaign will be branded separate from the IDC (www.idcoalition.org). A clean and modern logo that represents our message and that will result in high recall with our listed target markets above. Simple is better. Must look good on Twitter profile pic, Facebook etc Get creative... we do not want a boring blue/gray corporate design. A bit of flair to brighten it up would be good. Looking for the following versions of the logo: Full colour Reverse application Black & white Formats PSD format Font Name (indicate if purchased) RGB CMYK PMS The logo must be easy to replicate in small, medium, and large sizes on both print & web. Should Not Have: Designs should not have fine detail that will potentially bleed when printing small versions or become blurred on the web. No glossy reflections. PS: The attached drawings were made by children in detention. Good luck.
