How Blas D started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We design original home furnishings and accessories. Our store will be in Hermosa Beach, California and our designs reflect the atmosphere of the area and the tastes of the local clientele - wealthy, but casual. Our main customers are women between the ages of 25-80 who own/rent homes in the area.
We are a local business and would like to capture the laid back attitude of the beach, while maintaining an upscale image.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Other color requirements
blues, maybe sea green, beige, and/or white or black - neutral or simple
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We would like an easily recognizable logo/design that represents Blas, but is transformed into the form of a stamp or engraving to be placed directly onto our products (basically a logo that will reproduce well when small) - Simple with less detail is best. The logo is open for interpretation and we welcome creativity. As long as it is distinct, unique, and clear when re-sized to a small size for reproduction on various types of materials, we would love for you to submit.
Blas is an Irish word meaning "beauty through taste"
Update on what we are looking for (6/29/15):
We are looking for a unique, identifying symbol/logo/design that we can use with/without the actual name of the company to be recognized (think the Nike swish concept - but we don't want a swish!) lol. This design is open for interpretation. Yet, as we mentioned before, it must be simple and able to be reproduced very small for stamping into various mediums such as metal, pewter, glass, and wood. We hope this makes sense and gives you more to work with. Please let us know if you have any questions.
We have also uploaded a couple of examples of the overall concept of what we want.
