My site (and the present holding logo) can be seen at:
This may/may not give you some ideas.
The logo will be used on the site, for watermarking of images, for my business cards and letterheads.
In an absolutely ideal word it would be great to have a logo that comes with car, aircraft, boat, engagement, event, family, kids, etc interchangeable elements for specific photography types (to act as headers) but this is a VERY big ask so do feel more than free to ignore this.
A logo that oozes professionalism is key.
I'll be very interested to see what you come up with.
ADDITIONAL INFO ADDED 11 SEPT
I have been asked by one designer if I could narrow down more what I am looking for in this design brief, so I will endeavour to do that, though I do not want to limit your imaginations in so doing (perhaps, rather just try to offer a little more to work with and around).
I like graphic elements that are bold, have a align jump from the page feel, but feel and look confident and obviously designed by a designer with vision (oh, okay, that's doesn't really help I suppose).
The logo has to inspire confidence. Be simple yet complex and evolved enough so that when a client sees it they remember it and they don't just bin my business card, etc.
The just of bold colour is OK. The use of initials is good. The use of tried photography logo components is not so good (I want a logo that is highly original and does not have a camera made of brackets, a circle with aperture blades, et so).
I like bold graphic elements with a jump from the page feel about them.
Please do not centre on aircraft, birds, etc, as the logo will represent my entire body of work.
The logo has to appeal to women and men alike. From the car, boat, aviation photography perspective it is, in the main, men who will hire me. With engagements and family photography it is women who hold the purse strings.
A signature of my name, in some way, that jumps from the page but is worked I into a clever graphic element, with perhaps two or three colours could work nicely. The signature would have to not just be a signature but work as a shape also, perhaps?
Or, say, the use of a lens, side on, worked into the signature with my name underneath? The graphic element could then be used by itself also, without the name, on site plates just as a embellishment and to assist over all branding.
The design must work well also in business card format, as I will be getting business cards done with the new design. So the design must work at differing sizes (from large, to site header medium, to business card to small logo in a list of ads).
In a list of ads, all from photographers, all, with logos, my logo should work to get attention and stand out so as to secure a click through to study my services. So, yes, in a list of competing logos it must stand out, say click me...but without being wholly unsubtle.
I like blue, the blue in the menu bar of the site is good. That said, a few colours would also work and I may change the blue in the site menu bar to match the winning logo if it isn't the same colour.
Not sure if this helps.
I will clearly say in comments on designs that have elements I like what exactly it is I like, so I hope that will help.
Thanks all - your consideration and help is very much appreciated.
