How Narelle.steinmann started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a Christian Church that started five years ago known as Campus Church, which sought to bring the teaching of Jesus to university students. We are now starting another congregation, which will be part of the same church but catering for a wider demographic, especially families.

Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
We require new branding which reflects the development in our identity. There will be three variations of the logo:
• The ‘mother-brand’ logo needs to incorporate the name ‘Cornerstone’.
• The logo for the morning congregation should only be a slight variation of this, the main difference being the name ‘Cornerstone Community Church’.
• The evening congregation will be formally known as Cornerstone Campus Church, but for the sake of continuing its established identity, it would continue to be called Campus Church in everyday use. Therefore, the logo needs to emphasize the name ‘Campus Church’ but reference that it is part of Cornerstone. Have a look at the way different information has been emphasised in our existing logo below.
The logo should reflect the idea behind our name. Two years ago, our city suffered from a series of large earthquakes and is now going through the rebuild phase. As our new name suggests, at Cornerstone we seek to be a reminder that the only solid foundation for life is found in Jesus Christ. Imagery and typefaces could allude to solidarity, firm foundations or building; they don’t need to be explicit.
