Nicksharples needed a new logo design and created a contest on 99designs.
A winner was selected from 98 designs submitted by 28 freelance designers.
CrisisVu
CrisisVu (with capitalised C and V) is the company and http://www.CrisisVu.com will be the website. The logo is just for CrisisVu, but please be aware that it will need to work on the web.
CrisisVu is a crisis visualisation software tool that aggregates content from the net (Tweets, blog posts, news items, Facebook posts, articles, reviews and comments) and portrays them in a visual form so that crisis managers can identify a crisis developing, building and spreading across the net. See attached illustration of what the UI might look like.
The tool will be used by those in agencies, companies, government departments, etc. tasked with managing reputation online and resolving crises.
CrisisVu uses cutting edge technology and the logo should reflect this. The target audience is sophisticated so the logo should be mature and certainly not humorous or frivolous.
Please avoid trite or stereotyped images or representations of crisis - so no pictures of explosions, fires, crashes, etc. Similarly, I am not keen on images of eyes to represent the Vu part of the title, unless very subtle and understated.
As CrisisVu will draw on content from all current online platforms and channels, if you are going down the route of Web 2.0 style the logo should not look too much like any one particular channel or platform - generic is fine.
CrisisVu has a capitalised C and V - I am not averse to these being emphasised if going down the Wordmark style of logo.
