Jlowe828 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create the next logo for Rainforest Trust

Our mission is to purchase threatened rainforests and protect endangered wildlife through community engagement and local partnerships. We would like to connect with people of all ages, including young professionals in their 20s.
Logo types to explore
We have a graphic we like, now we need to find a good way to place our name "Rainforest Trust" alongside it. We'd like to use a clear, easy-to-read font with colors that reflect those in our graphic, aren't too bright, and will look good in black and white. We'd like our logo to have a square or rectangular shape. Originally, we wanted our name to be on the right of our graphic, but have found this difficult. Instead we ask you to be creative about the layout keeping in mind that due to size restrictions we'd rather not have overly long logo shapes. We've found it difficult to place "Rainforest" and "Trust" atop one another due to the difference in length, and we encourage you to be creative in finding a solution to this problem. However, please keep "rainforest" together as one word as much as possible. We'd like to have our font in all capitals, unless you find a solution that looks great otherwise. We like our graphic and do not want it to be overshadowed by our name. If possible, please try to keep our name from being dramatically large. We want a font that conveys the longevity of our organization (we're 25 years old), and the seriousness of our mission. Basically, one that looks solid and elegant. Please avoid fonts that don't aren't this way. We'd like our name and graphic to combine in a harmonious, self-contained way that avoids extra spacing and gaps as much as possible. We are more interested in the word "rainforest" than "trust." Please be careful not to overemphasize "trust" and make it less note-worthy than "rainforest." We need your help. Thanks for your efforts.
