Fortuna got the brief after I rewrote it the second time. Almost nailed it from the start. Just needed a couple tweeks and it was spot on.
Fortuna was very polite and even though my requests were only minor, it was no problem. Can't thank him enough.
It was frustrating to watch other designers copy what he was doing and present them as their ideas, that's not designing.
Thanks again to Fortuna and to 99 designs for making this possible 😃

Great work! He integrated all refinements we were looking for and communication went. Best recommendations for this designer!
I love my unique design. It was simple, yet elegant. Very pleased with my logo and elisbeauty was very responsive during the contest.
How cjdsmm started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Untangled America or UA
What’s your company slogan?
Musings and advice for the foreign-born professional
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Untangled America is a blog site in progress. The focus is on providing advice to foreign-born professionals now living in the U.S. regarding the complexities of American culture, with a focus on American business culture. Essentially it is a success coaching website. NOTE: this is a light-hearted website, so the logo should reflect that, vs. a sleek corporate logo
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Reds: Energy, action, passion and love.
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I would like one logo with just an image, and a second with the slogan to the right. The image will be on a dark brown background, almost black, so color is necessary. I am NOT married to the red white and blue theme, but will certainly entertain it. I should have plenty of other "Americana" on the site.
