Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a general contractor in Lincoln Nebraska. We build custom homes, additions and remodels. We also do commercial retail bays, office space and medical.
We are a company that does 90% of its work through word of mouth and referrals. Quality is number one for us. I have no problem telling a customer that they could find someone more cost effective than us but we are an honest fair price and it is done right, no exceptions. This is the way we think, work and do business. We are owner/operators in our mid 30’s that deal with intelligent high end clients and are always professional.
This company is a new partnership that we are forming from two smaller construction companies. Our reason for expansion is we are becoming a builder/contractor that is performing second stage work for return customers and we are needing to grow. We chose our name Milestone Builders because we plan to be around for that next big step in our customer’s lives. This next step might be a house expansion or second home, a new business idea or expansion of business, or finally their retirement plans or dreams. As they reach these life “Milestones” we offer the services to help them build these.
We want a logo that can reflect this quality, longevity and honesty for our company. We would like a clean look that promotes professionalism and trust. We want a look between the straight traditional and a 100% trendy logo.

We do not want to have any distinct house outlines in the logo as we perform both residential and commercial.
We are looking for an emblem with text and want the emblem to be separate from the name in the logo as to be recognizable as a stand alone design.
I have included some sketches on text to help you visualize our initial thoughts. We are not tied to any of these designs/sketches but hopefully they can help you to understand what our initial visualizations were.
