Clean & Simple
We are changing our name from Bluestone Project Solutions to SHYFT COLLECTIVE. Ideally, we will be known as "SHYFT" to most in our markets, so we want to downplay the collective part. Essentially, we assist clients who are experiencing some sort of commercial real estate "shift", either from growing or potentially shrinking or looking for new space that better fits their culture. What differentiates us is our focus on discovering their "Why". We don't just want to solve the real estate problem they think they have, but discover what their company purpose is and help them define how real estate can help them achieve that purpose through developing ideas/plans/designs as a solution and then delivery of those solutions. One of the reasons we chose SHYFT is it seemed to in a single word illustrate what we help people with - change. It also seems like a forward thinking word and implies movement and moving forward with purpose. We chose SHYFT with a "Y" because we wanted to be able to share that to us it's all about the "Y" or "Why" behind doing something. I think a "logo" that is clean and simple using that word as the basis is the best design direction, but also puts an emphasis on the Y would be important. I think it needs to be simple without being simplistic, it needs to be bold without being aggressive and it needs to be refined without being fussy. I also think there is a chance for some sort of a symbol or something we can use as an element in addition to the simplicity of our name/logo. I can share images as we go for precedents, as I will be very responsive. Cheers and look forward to seeing your efforts!
