I am a construction cost consultant who puts together initial budgets and construction cost estimates for major construction projects. My clients are typically award winning architects and engineers who design projects such as hospitals, corporate campuses, visitor centers, hospitality projects, etc. Most of the projects are leading edge design by some of the nations largest and best design teams. I have been doing construction estimating for 30 years and have the reputation as one of the nations leading experts in getting estimates correct the first time. No budget overruns or incomplete estimates.
I also perform constructability reviews and offer design suggestions that will achieve the same results for less money. So, I am considered a large part of the design process.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Target audience would be as stated, leading architectural designers and engineers that design world class buildings.
I will attach a copy of my current logo.... here was the thinking behind it. A graphic art student at Montana State University designed it for me and did a great job, but never "finished" it.
It is the profile outline of a human head, with a maze inside it and then an energy efficient light bulb going off as an idea is formed.
The head represented the intellect that I bring to the process. The maze represented the myriad of obstacles and problems that you run into when designing a project. The Light bulb being turned on, represented the out-of-the-box solution that we brought to the table that solved the issues. The energy efficient style of light represented the "Green" energy efficient thinking that we use in our process. I am a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP). LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
Please don't feel you need to go with the above premise. It was a start, but overall, I think it is too "busy" with its message.
