transversefilms got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design an iconic/catchy logo for an upcoming film director
Check out transversefilms's Logo design contest…
I need a logo design for a small filmmaking page called 'Cineverse'. I create short films, promotional videos, travel videos, music videos, and hopefully one day I can venture onto bigger projects such a feature films. I would like the logo to incorporate some aspect of filming (eg, a clapper board, a film reel, a film strip) to distinguish that this is a filming business. I would like something that looks simple/minimalistic, however is creative in someway. I would also like to see the concept of 'space' or 'cosmos' (eg, galaxies, stars, universe, time, astronaut, planet, moons) incorporated somehow subtly (not too obvious). I am hoping to make it look semi-professional and not too artsy or complicated. The final product should be clear that the business is a filming/video business and should communicate professionalism and creativity. The logo will be mainly used at the start of videos. DON'TS 1) No Background Photos/Images 2) No Clip Art 3) No Cineverse inside Film Strip concept. 4) No obvious space theme. Only Subtle. DO'S 1) Space elements should be SUBTLE, not too overbearing. Maybe a little about me. I'm an aspiring film director who inspires to make films that can make people 'feel' something or even learn something about the world/themselves. Although I have a huge way to go, I am keen to leave my mark on filming world. The reason why I want to get a logo done is to establish myself as a director/filmmaker and not some Joe Blow from around the corner with a facebook page and a camera. Although people may not remember my name, I would like to at least to have my brand recongise, so I would be able to get clients. Nothing too colourful.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
transversefilms collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
I was very happy with this designer. In fact, his work was so good and design so perfect that he did not need to refine the logo after the first entry. There were about 60 entries and this entry was by far. the best design. He read my input and created a masterpiece for a logo. I ended the contest early because I knew nobody would create a better design.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
