deniz.ortac got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design an inspired logo for a visionary stainless steel product brand
Check out deniz.ortac's Logo design contest…
We're an online store for stylish, colourful, ethical and high-quality stainless steel food/drink products (initially lunch boxes) for relatively young people (mainly between mid 20s and mid 40s) who are willing to pay a bit more for a product that truly stands out and sets the bar to a new level. We have a vision - to be the TOP BRAND in this product niche, not necessarily by sales but by the impact our products deliver. When you purchase our products, it is good for the planet, it supports a good cause, and you do something great for yourself! Some of the longer-term brand aspirations include: • Minimum environmental footprint (zero plastics, maximum recycling, use recycled materials, eco-friendly colours, "cradle-to-cradle" design) • Donating 5% of net profits to charity (buyer chooses the charity from a short list) This brand will carry products that people eat and drink from. All products will be responsibly made from the highest quality stainless steel. Through their beautiful design and functionality, they will instil a sense of pride in their users and inspire them to make better food/drink choices and lead a happier and healthier life. Visually and functionally, the brand's main themes will be colour, beautiful (and yet functional and minimalist) design, and enduring high quality. The products won't be in the luxury category. They will be affordable but priced a little bit higher than the competition.
1. We like certain aspects of the logo designs in the attached images, but don't want to restrict designers' imagination too much by showing them (they are simply examples of what we like). Once the contest is launched, we will add comments about what exactly we like about these examples. 2. IMPORTANT: We love colour, but the logo must also look good when printed or displayed in ONE colour (which will often be the case). 3. We are open towards different capitalisations of our brand name: Fullalyfe, fullalyfe, and FULLALYFE may all work depending on the overall logo design. 4. We are looking for a logo that would look great on coloured or uncoloured stainless steel surfaces. 5. We want nothing cheap or too cheesy. Instead, we are looking for something trendy, stylish, clever, kind and playful. 6. We don't want anything too intricate, but neither something so minimalist that it looks lifeless. 7. We would like a logo that portrays a high GAS (Give A Sh%#) factor, and which connects well with our target group [75% female, 25% male, aged mid 20s to mid 40s, fairly sophisticated but fun-loving, both health and eco-conscious, "urban students and young urban working adults WITHOUT children" (customer segment 1) and "suburban families with children" (customer segment 2)]. 8. Ideally, the logo would be easily recognisable and associated with the brand. 9. The sort of emotions the logo should evoke include: • Sense of warmth/kindness • Fun • Intrigued • Visually attracted • "I also want one of those!" • Peace of mind • Proud to be part of the 'Fullalyfe' community • Inspired • "Can't wait to show others"

And then… they selected a winner!
Rif^ has understood my design brief so beautifully. The contest bubbled along just nicely, and I was pretty happy with some of the designs I received from other designers. Then I received Rif^'s design just before the the qualifying round ended, and I was immediately blown away. I gasped and fell in love with the design at first sight. I knew this was going to be the winner. Rif^ was super helpful and responsive throughout the process of fine-tuning the design, and even went the extra mile in terms of supplying the logo in multiple versions and file formats. I cannot recommend Rif^ highly enough, and would gladly work with Rif^ again!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
