LeanSentry got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design a kick-ass logo for Sentinel
Check out LeanSentry's Logo design contest…
We build Sentinel, an expert application monitoring and diagnosis service for .NET web applications. Our expert technologies are used by some of the largest .NET sites in the world, including MySpace, Vevo, Universal Music, and more.
Logo types to explore
We need a logo to represent Sentinel, our flagship online service that automatically detects and diagnoses very hard server problems. http://leanserver.com/sentinel. We'd like to logo to combine the word "Sentinel" AND a logo that essentially says "Sentinel" or "Guardian" visually and conveys its attitude. Kind of like this does: http://logopond.com/logos/1dc7a3fe2174559c89c7cb1004dbffbd.png or this: http://logopond.com/thumbs_viewAll/tn_612f846787f0d1236ae993060357a309.png (we like the almost literal reinforcement of the concept via the logo). We like the idea of a robot to represent this (like our current logo), but are open to other ideas. Sentinel is: - A guardian/protector - Cutting edge, expert technology, a specialist - Powerful, determined, decisive - Action oriented - Edgy/funny is a plus, as long as it doesnt detract from the above Our current logo projects the power, action, and decisiveness - but also says brute rather than "specialist". It also is too complex to easily serve in tight places where we may want to have the logo. The best entry would have both a small version of the logo that we can use in page headers, and a larger "mascot" version we could use on our main page (sentinel.leanserver.com). We need a vector version of the logo so we can scale as needed (Adobe Illustrator / EPS). A couple more logo examples we liked: http://logopond.com/thumbs_viewAll/tn_612f846787f0d1236ae993060357a309.png http://logopond.com/logos/1dc7a3fe2174559c89c7cb1004dbffbd.png
