The Learning Point
The Learning Point partners with educators, school districts, community organizations, and the families and students they serve by providing evidence-based programs and strategies to meet the needs of each individual learner.
While we serve children, our clients are inner-city school districts and community organizations. We need a logo that is clean, professional, and sophisticated while also being engaging, youthful, and airy.
Our results: With five weeks of our intervention program, most students grow 6 academic months in mathematics ( 67% of a school year). Non-readers become readers, students struggling with addition become mini-mathemticians, and students lives are changed.
Behind our name: A student's learning point is a multi-faceted determination that captures his or her current academic standing. The learning point shows educators, parents, and advocates exactly where to meet each child and helps to determine the best instructional strategies and interventions to promote student growth.
Components of a students 'learning point':
1. Mindset: The student’s current mindset and attitude toward learning
2. Exceptionalities (such as learning, cognitive, and physical disabilities) + and the student’s Development in light of these exceptionalities
3. Academic Proficiency
4. Socioemotional + Behavioral Wellbeing
5. Cultural + Linguistic Background
If there were a subtle way to include these components in the logo, without it being too busy, that'd be great!
