8/11 Update: I think the icon part is becoming the key here, since many of you have similar ideas for the text layout. The more ideas you can send me with different symbol/icon ideas, the better! Look forward to seeing what other concepts come in in the last few hours! :)
Just uploaded a sketch with some ideas to explore on the icon/symbol part. I like the idea of a house with the V and R worked into the shape. Perhaps we could fill the inside of the shape with outlines/shapes that signify transitions like rings, baby bottles, pacifiers, house keys, etc. Similar to the Heritage Plaster and Carrier Films sample logos...using smaller items/shapes to form the larger shape. Or, just using the letters to form a shape like the Urban Winery logo sample. I'm open to ideas that work in the V and R in a cool way that's relevant to what I do.
*I like that many of you are using a gradient to signify transition.
*I think I'd also like the logo to be stacked/centered. I want this to be a uniquely different design/concept from my current logo.
*I like clean and modern (not too "busy"), but I want to keep the logo "fun" to some extent to capture the interest of young couples vs. corporate feeling.
Most of the design inspiration logos I chose seem to keep clean/modern wording with some kind of colorful or clever image/symbol. Couples I work with are often moving in together, preparing for marriage, or getting ready for a baby. Maybe there's a way to make the symbol/image part encapsulate some of those transitions specifically, but not in a cheesy way.
I've attached my current logo for reference. I want the colors to feel appropriate for a 20/30-something "trendy" audience, yet still remain professional. Maybe medium blues, teal, dark purples, light/medium grays...something in that ballpark.
Instead of the shapes in my current logo, I'd like something integrated into the logo that is more relevant to my work with couples, specifically something that can symbolize a transition, next step, or being on the verge of something big/new/exciting.
I'd like color in the logo, BUT I also need to be able to print the logo in 1 color for promo materials (like on a tumbler) and still be true to brand. For example, the current logo has two colors in the shapes, and when you change the logo to all black or all white, the shapes fuse into a blob. Just something clear and eye catching would be great! Thank you--I'm so excited to see your designs!
