How Stacie Grahn started their logo design journey
An afternoon tea shoppe in British fashion in British Columbia Canada. Serving handmade crustless sandwiches, petit four's, and light lunches. A cozy yet sophisticated tea shoppe that will transport you across the Atlantic to a Grandmothers living room in England.
Devonshire Cream Tea Shoppe
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are a mother team who are starting a business that involves both of our first loves - tea! We want a logo designed that will be a reflection of our love for tea. We want to give customers a feeling that they are in England dining with the Queen for afternoon tea. Our shop is filled with antique tables and chairs. The walls have wainscotting and then damask wall paper above. It's a place for men, women and children to come and experience a real life tea party. It's cozy yet sophisticated! The smell of home baking is in the air because everything we serve will be prepared on site. We need a logo for signage, menus, flyers and gift certificate.
- cursive writing
- colours: deep red and a very creamy coloured cream (think Devonshire cream and scones) black and white damask
- tagline "An Afternoon Tea Experience"
- casual elegance
- feminine yet welcoming to husbands and dads
- NO CAPITAL LETTERS!!!
- No bright colours
- nothing too modern or Disney like, think Grandma in England and not Alice in Wonderland
