Website Firstaid is dedicated to helping small business owners make money online. 99% of small business owners are not making any cash at all from their websites and are desperate for help. This site will be a "free resource" for the small business community.
So it is meant to be somewhere fun to visit. A place where they get no B.S. information that helps them and helps them create more revenue. So the culture we are creating is a "family" of like-minded entrepreneurs where they can share ideas via the blog posts and I can build rapport with them.
This site (the first of four to be constructed) will capture and drive traffic to Brendan Nichols' website. Brendan worked with Robert Kiyosaki for seven years, he is a self-made millionaire and has been helping ordinary people achieve extraordinary financial goals for over 21 years.
He is also a big wave surfer and an honourary elder of a native American tribe, Aboriganl tribe and a Maori tribe. He is an extraordinary guy.
In 2010 we are taking his message to a global audience. So this is the very first project for a number of online projects we have in the pipeline for 2010.
We have a clear path to expand his extensive customer base over the next four years and this website is a critical component of the strategy. It will also be a website we refer to in our large seminars and therefore needs to make a great first impression.
We are targeting the Small Business community first. We have plans to target other specific audiences with the other sites that we are building in the coming weeks.
This target audience struggle every day trying to make cash, so they are time poor and attention poor. This means we have to be able to grab their attention with a compelling logo design.
It has to speak directly to them. They are not idiots, they are smart and courageous and anyone who is successful as a small business owner is very streetwise. So anything that looks too corporate will not work on one hand, while on the other hand anything that looks too dumbed down, they will find patronising and will also not work.
We are looking for a Logo plus a unique font for the words "Website-Firstaid". The logo and associated wording will form the banner at the top of the site.
The website is built in Wordpress. It is a Studiopress theme "Genesis" and it is imperative the graphics fit easily inside the theme and do not distort the home page.
We need a clever logo that conveys the purpose of the site in one hit. The purpose of the site is to help business owners learn techniques that they can apply to their own business websites and massively improve their income.
In the same way emergency firstaid helps patients get better, we help business websites get better (and more profitable).
I do not want anything that looks like a corporate logo as it will put these guys off. It has to be humerous without being overly simplistic. I guess what we are looking for is something witty or clever that a smart entreprenur would appreciate.
I am looking for a strong visual affect, so possibly a royal blue background with white font. I am happy for you to use a bit of creativity to ensure that the overall feel of the logo and the wording works well within the look and feel of the site.
Could we have the wording written out as follows: Website-FirstAid
The hyphen is extremely important and we do not want all capitals.
What We are Not Looking For:
Strong Red background
