The Energy Friendly Lighting Show
The Energy Friendly Lighting Show will run in the UK in 2010. The show has two main parts. The first is for the light emitting diode (LED) business - electronics engineers who design products related to LEDs, such as driver circuits etc. The second part of the show will feature all kinds of low energy lighting including fluorescent lighting and solid state lighting. (Solid state lighting is basically lights that are made up of groups of LEDs.) The LEDs are not all the little 5mm ones with which you may be familiar - the kind you find in small torches etc. They are more often silicon chips within special packaging for lighting applications. Low energy lighting will come in the shape of many of the bulbs and fittings that we already use, including those for spotlights or down-lighters.
The target audience for the LED part of the show will be potential exhibitors and visitors. These will be semiconductor manufacturers and electronics designers.
The target audience for the lighting part of the show will be those that specify lighting for buildings: lighting designers, architects, facilities managers. Lighting system manufacturers are also being targeted.
We need a logo for the show: The Energy Friendly Lighting Show. We also need to see options of how this logo will work with the year of the event added e.g. The Energy Friendly Lighting Show 2010.
If graphic symbols are used as part of the logo these must NOT be abstract but must be relevant to the topic i.e. energy efficient lighting/LEDs. PLEASE NOTE: we cannot provide feedback to designers who ignore this requirement.
The logo will be used for the web site and for all promotional activity associated with the show.
