How Julia V started their logo design journey
Sha-de- pronounced (sha-dey)
I am a product developer/pattern maker who works with designers to help take their drawing to a manufacturing ready product. I work with very innovative people and now it is time for me to start on my own product. I have lots of ideas and this is the first to move along.
This product is a very stylish sun shade product to be worn as a fashion item but not look daggy. It can be worn anywhere when dressed up (weddings, drinks, BBQ's, Drives in convertible cars). It will be a high quality product in luxury fabrics and something women love to wear. Targeted to those people in countries where the sun is strong or Asian countries where tanning is not desirable.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Women 15- 40 (mainly late 20's when sun damage starts to show). The target customer is very stylish, she likes to buy high fashion clothing and accessories and aims to look slim, smooth skinned, driving a convertible car or SUV, hair, makeup and body are important to her.
She will be concerned about aging and possibly cancer and looks after their skin (Nicole Kidman etc). She may also buy expensive skin care or regularly visit salons for treatments.
They will have a very good income and like to socialize often with her girlfriends, lunches, Sunday drinks, and holidays in the sun.
For women who would like to protect themselves from the sun without looking like they are.
This will be sold online so the look is important to convey the overall feel. They will be interested in updating their look each season
I require a logo that can be used on website, labels and incorporated into prints and packaging.
Logo should be small enough to be made into woven label approx 6cm long so not too much detail.
Please see images attached for the feel of design I like.
The logo will be used later in a website as well as illustrations similar to attached.
This product will be featured in fashion magazines and fashion websites.
Feel free to experiment with colours.
Good luck and I look forward to seeing your designs.
