Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a video production team but also serve as creative directors for our clients. Our clients vary from non-profits to law firms to NFL teams so we are constantly in search for an identity. The name of the business is Blue Coffee Pictures but I'd like to brand as just Blue Coffee. Most of our business is local to Kansas City, Missouri. Our films are commercial or storytelling in nature, usually with an emotional pull.

The name Blue Coffee came from a dream. So there's nothing literal about the name. So it's not a must for the color scheme to be blue or to have coffee in the logo. Right now our logo is a blue stain (that a coffee cup would leave) with the words "Blue Coffee Pictures" in the middle. But again, I want to keep this clean and most likely limit the words to "Blue Coffee" or even "BC" as a variation. I don't have anything against the coffee stain that we have now, it just doesn't feel current. I'd lean towards not using it in its current form unless it was a much different version.
UPDATE: I think overall we'd like to stay away from film reels and coffee cups, it's not a hard line...if someone has a great idea we'll consider it for sure. We are liking the cleaner versions and variations on the "BC" as the actual logo. Most of our clients know what we do so we don't have to remind them with the logo that we are a film company. It's more about being able to pull that icon out and use it as a stand alone in places.
