Furniture For Change
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We want a logo that captures the young, positive and social entrepreneurial spirit of this company. We see ourselves as a “Change-agent”, making a difference in peoples’ lives, one cause at a time. The long-term goal is to create sustainable and eco-friendly furniture and home-accessories to satisfy the needs of not only our customer, but more importantly our rapidly polluted planet. Through stylish, top quality, yet affordable, home furnishing products, including portable lighting, furniture and therapeutic products (such as massage chairs and massage accessories), Furniture For Change is also committed to partnering with organizations that fight climate change. For our initial launch, we are working with Trees for the Future to plants trees in developing countries for every order we receive, to restore tree cover to degraded lands, and to work with local communities to develop tree planting programs to support a self-sustaining community. Our mantra: “Furnish your Home, Replenish your Planet” rings true through our involvement, as an average tree takes 50lbs of carbon dioxide out of the air per year and converts it into things that people can use, like food, shelter and medicines. Additionally, we want to not only create/inspire change by planting trees in heavily deforested countries, but also help to evangelize our message, by including rubber wrist bracelets with the words, “CHANGE” and “Renge” with each order. The word, “Change” symbolizes that each of is empowered to make a difference in this world and to take part in something greater than his/herself. The Japanese word, “Renge” depicts a lotus flower that grows through adversity and blooms beautifully and signifies “cause & effect”, actualizing one’s dreams (effect) through change (cause). This company is founded by three siblings: two brothers and one sister, all under the age of 25.
Our tagline/mantra: Furnish your Home, Replenish your Planet. (eco-friendly) Color scheme: Anything, taking into account, the main color scheme of our website will be white, green, brown, earthy/woodsy, welcoming, yet energetic, clean and simple website – the logo definitely needs to not only match but STAND OUT from the website. Style: Any (eco-friendly), simple, clean Based on the guidelines on: http://99designs.com/help/contestho…guidelines "the art in a vector format like that produced by Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. You can resize vector graphics without any loss of quality — something JPG, GIF, TIFF and PNG files just can't swing."
Please do not have the logo contain any trees because in the future we will be partnering with multiple organizations that may or may not be planting trees. Also, please do not include any rainbows or cursive/difficult-to-read text. Thank you.
