Homewood City Schools Foundation
What’s your company slogan?
We frequently use the term "Build the Foundation" in our marketing materials, but it is not a formal tagline.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Homewood City Schools Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds for Homewood City schools. We fund programs such as new equipment for high school science labs or a summer camp for kids who need extra support in math. We also support teachers by funding ongoing professional development and fees for National Board Certification. Homewood is located near Birmingham, Alabama.
The Homewood school system comprises five schools: 3 elementary schools (k-5), one middle school (6-8) and one high school (9-12). Homewood is consistently ranked among the top schools in Alabama and the U.S. Our community is known for its diverse population, outstanding music programs and consistently superior performance.
The Homewood School system has for its mascot, the Patriot. Our colors are red, white and blue — but we are not locked in to replicating the schools system's iconography. We are a private organization that works in partnership with the school system to raise money for all five schools.

Our slogan is "Build the Foundation." We would like our logo to reflect the idea of building/creating. Our current logo is an apple - and we would like to get away from that image. Our target market is students from K - 12, parents, teachers, businesses and alumni. We would like our logo to be fun but also represent academic excellence.
