As a custom home builder, for years now I have visited homes of clients, future clients, friends and friends of friends and I am always surprised at the questions and issues I encounter about a home. Answers to which I think are basic I now realize are not. Quite often small items that could have been nipped in the bud and saved money were overlooked as not important, and then worsened over time so that it became a considerable expense. I often see issues that are unintentionally created by other trades that the home owner isn’t aware of – such as back drainage caused by the well-meaning landscape crews causing water incursion into the finished basement; A gable screen being in disrepair allowing birds or squirrel’s to nest in your attic; A simple downspout detached damaging the siding in the corner of the house. From what was a minimal fix becoming a several thousand-dollar repair, not to mention the inconvenience of it all.
I have realized that there are two main factors that get in the way of this basic maintenance – knowledge, and time!! And even if someone does have the knowledge base, it can be months and months due to our busy lives, before we get to inspecting the exterior of the house again.
To solve for this need, House Health Inc. offers a quarterly service that takes this critical task to hand – and delivers the inspection findings right to the homeowners inbox. Due to the exterior being the most vulnerable part of the house, our focus is here. This allows for an efficient cost effective quarterly inspection to be done without the homeowner needing to be present, and therefore our impact on their time and personal space is minimized. Homeowners receive photos of any potential issues and a breakdown of what needs to be done in a clear an easy to read report. From here, they can use their own handymen or home builder to do the work for them. If you don’t have anyone, we will point them in the right direction.
We use a subscription based model charged quarterly that coincides with inspections, there is no contract, keeping billing easy and efficient.
