How Tyconcafe started their logo design journey
I’m a foodservice company that operates café’s in corporate settings. If you’ve ever worked in an office building with a café or deli in the lobby that’s what I do. I serve breakfast, lunch and catering services to corporate clients during normal business hours. We are committed to providing fresh, quality foods at or below market prices with an emphasis on variety and customer service. "Waterside Cafe" is my newest location.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
My customers are the tenants of my office building and another building right next door. There are both 11 story glass buildings with a pond and fountain right outside the café.
Waterside Café is the brand name. I plan to use the logo on aprons and t-shirts and the “W” on hats and visors. The logo should be clear and simple.
1. No cartoons-we are located in business office setting.
2. Logo should lean more towards the professional side but nothing to formal. Our customer will be utilizing our services on a regular basis for a casual breakfast and lunch. The café atmosphere will be casual. My staff will be wearing mostly dark colored t-shirts and aprons with a hat or visor. So I want a logo that simple yet distinctive.
3. Colors should be neutrals. However, I’ve attached a pic of the fabrics used in the seating area. The lime green, orange and purple will also be used on the walls in the café space. Your free to play around with these colors.
4. Require a format used for print media such as signs, poster, business cards as well as apparel. So I guess jpeg, tif, ai and eps. You'll have to educate me about the formats.
