I want the logo to come off as clean and simple but something that is its own.
Our name is Abstract Development Group so im my mind that means a lot of different things, such as abstract art, abstract architecture / buildings, abstract real estate, abstract as a compilation of a lot of concepts that go into the process of developing a project.
If there are good ideas to incorporate types of abstract art, certain artists I have always liked are Rothko, Mondrian, etc... but its possible to utilize a hint of real estate / buildings in it.
In addition to that type of art, I also really like Mid Century Modern style (i.e. Mad Men type of look / mid-century modern furniture & architecture also I like). I like virtually anything of the Charles & Ray Eames style designs (who have created tons of different textiles, fonts, furniture, etc…). I also like pop art such as Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Edward Rusca. I also sometimes like a hint of art deco architecture of New York / Chicago.
So hopefully the logo can take the understanding of the items I like but also not over complicate it too much and make something simple & clean looking and something that in the future could be a recognizable / iconic image.
If the logo does happen to end up incorporating real estate in it - we build high rise buildings in cities (not individual residential homes (ie. I'm not saying it needs to totally be focused on buildings but if it does, it should be more city based type of buildings).
Also, while I am doing just the logo now as the starting point, whichever I like best I will end up hiring that person to do the website, business cards, etc.. for the company.
