Harness Breeders NSW
We are called Harness Breeders NSW and are an industry group that represent all those that breed horses to race in trotting / pacing races in Australia and are exported to race around the world. Our organisation is non-profit with all funds being redirected back into the sport to encourage breeding activities. We are looking to really come of age with technology and a new identity to bring us into the new era of globalisation and our recognition as an industry body around the world.
We are hoping a cool logo can help us on our way!
Owners / breeders of harness horses and other industry participants in Australias 3rd largest industry (horse racing). Also aim to have a unique identity with peer industries overseas. Our membership has grown exponentially and we want to continue that and also appeal to a younger audience to attract them to the sport and particularly into the breeding of horses.
Harness Breeders NSW has just been renamed (it was formerly the NSW Standardbred Breeders and Studmasters Association).
As with the name we now seek a new logo to reflect who we want to engage with - enthusiasts both existing and new both domestically and abroad.
You have a creative blank canvas for the logo design; the website and attachments are provided for context and comparison purposes only and should not restrict your design. FWIW the NSW Breeders Challenge logo works with the larger horse and smaller horse inset. We are open to your recommended color palettes, we like something that feels welcoming, yet innovative.
Other points:
• NSW is the common abbreviation for New South Wales, the most populous state in Australia. If incorporating the name the ‘NSW’ abbreviation is expected
• The current website is at http://www.harnessbreedersnsw.org.au
• The image of a foal and mother is common on similar sites
• A standardbred horse looks essentially the same as a thoroughbred. When they race the distinguishing feature is the sulky (the racing cart carried behind the horse).
The logo will be used across corporate material (annual report, letterhead etc) and marketing collateral. We require a stand alone logo (no text) and one with accompanying text being the name 'Harness Breeders NSW'. A colour version is essential and a greyscale version is appreciated.
